Our Kayak school has been closed, and for anyone who want a kayak class, you can contact one of the following addresses:

 

OAK PARK YMCA
Students call 708-383-5200 to register. Sunday nights, 6:00 pm. Class starts January 9th and runs 10 weeks. Instructors call John Karch (847)391-2822

EVANSTON YMCA The eight week spring session at the McGaw YMCA IN Evanston will begin Sunday, January 9. Classroom time begins at 5:00. Student pool time is 6:00-7:30. Instructor pool time is 7:30-8:30. Instructors must contact Mitch.Beales@rosalindfranklin.edu (847)244-7013. Students may also contact Mitch for information about the class but must contact the McGaw YMCA (847)475-7400 to register. Mitch is hoping to retire as lead instructor at this location soon so helpers who are interested in assuming a leadership role are especially encouraged.

Whitewater Kayaking Sundays Pool Time 4:30 - 6:30pm Pool time 5:30 - 6:30pm. Fee: YMCA  members $75, all others $150.

CONANT HIGH SCHOOL (Schaumburg) Contemporary Solo Canoeing. Classes start on Tuesday, February 14 and run trough March 28. Classroom 7:30 - 8 pm; student's pooltime 8- 9 pm; instructor's pooltime 9 - 10 pm. NAPERVILLE NORTH HIGH SCHOOL, 899 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL, starting Sunday, January 9, 2005 through March 13. 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Everyone needs to be out of the building by noon. No swimmers while boats are in the pool. Individual lesson fees are $10 per person and must be accompanied by a signed waiver each week. You can also opt to sign up in advance for all 9 sessions, sign a single waiver ane pay a flat fee of $60. If you plan to do so, contact Brian Pour (NNHS Aquatic Director) by email and let him know. Bring your boat and gear. WAsh boats before putting into the pool.

VERNON HILLS YMCA. Open pool sessions at the Vernon Hills YMCA on Wednesday nights from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. There is boat storage for up to 8 boats. the sessions should run through the end of March. These sessions while relaxed and friendly, offer a great enviroment to practice and improve your roll, All paddlers are welcome. Any questions should be directed to Barry Meyer at 847-362-1590. Cost is $5 per night.

 

MORRIS OPEN POOL SESSIONS hosted by Morris Marathon Canoe Club January 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27; 608 pm. Morris Community High School Pool 1000 Union St., Moris, IL, (Behind the school of Redskin Drive. (Drive next to the tennis courts).
